Upon the storied thoroughfare of Arthur Avenue, there stands Madonia Bakery. It is a sanctuary of the baker’s craft that eschews the vulgar affectations of modern gimmickry; indeed, the spirited throng gathered within its threshold serves as a more eloquent testimonial than any printed advertisement could provide. I had ventured across its lintel with the modest intention of procuring coffee. However, my eyes fell upon a notice regarding their cannoli "filled while you wait" and I found the notion of any other refreshment to be utterly preposterous. The assembly within was a most heartening spectacle, elderly gentlemen engaged in discourse with an operatic vigour. Pious families bearing away their pastry boxes with the solemnity one might accord a holy relic. In the metropolis of New York, such a concourse of people is rarely observed without the promise of some extraordinary merit. The coffee, was found to be bold, honest, and bracing. Yet, it was the cannoli that achieved a true triumph. The shell possessed a crispness that yielded with a most splendid crackle, containing a sweet ricotta cream introduced to its housing at the precise moment of my command. My Lady was pleased

This is my first time visiting. The shop looked busy, so we went in, and got a cheese and roasted garlic bread, the shell of the bread is super salty! Out of decades of eating bread, this has been the most un-satisfied bread I’ve ever had. Do you use this bread differently? Does it mean to be this salty?

I'm very disappointed with the quality of the cookies I bought today and the service. My family and I have been coming here for many years and loved the pastries. This was our go-to spot for desserts. The young ladies in the front are rude and don't understand a word you say. Every time I come here, I repeat myself multiple times. Out of frustration I gave up on asking for more pastries and bought what was already packed. Lately the cookies have been half the size they used to be and somehow remain the same price for the same amount which is absurd. I thought the weight determined the price, but I guess not anymore. I couldn't believe it when I saw them in the box. It may as well be a cookie bite with how tiny they've become. I'll take my business elsewhere.

On New Year’s Eve, around 9:00 AM, I entered Madonna Bakery. There were a handful of customers, ordering their baked goods. I walked up close to the biscotti glass counter. Many flavors to satisfy everyone. A young Italian woman behind the counter offered to help me. I chose a loaf of bread with prosciutto, a large cannoli and coffee. The bread will be a gift, the cannoli will be eaten at the Botanical Gardens. I drank the coffee to give me the kick needed to keep on walking until 3:30 PM Vhuntermassage LLC
